During our tests, the IQ was capable of handling pet hair well, clearing huge amounts of hair from floors with no flooring and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was a little less effective on shag carpets where it struggled to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to navigate the legs of a chair, tiny spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a bit slower on floors with no flooring, but it regained speed and performed better than the other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better option over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on charge, and is more capable of moving itself around obstacles.
